I live in South Dakota. God's country.
Born in 1970, I grew up on a farm near Letcher. We raised Angus cattle, corn and oats, and from an early age I learned to appreciate hard work. I'm probably a bit of a workaholic yet today, but instead of long hours working the ground, I'm working the light at both ends of the day.
While my favorite people and places are here on the Great Plains, I work for a variety of clients who send me to all corners of America. I once toiled in the newspaper business, but left that world in 1997 for a freelance career and never looked back. It's been a great ride, photographing assignments for all types of clients, but most of my work remains embedded in the land, whether it's for agricultural, energy or conservation clients in both the corporate and editorial worlds. That's not to say I don't enjoy working on college campuses or photographing the medical field, because those areas are staples of mine as well. Pretty much everything is fair game.
My wife and three kids keep me grounded, and busy. But there's time for you too. Shoot me an email or give me a call and we can talk about your project.
